The WWE have announced that they have released Sylvian Grenier while TNA have released Jerry Lynn, Basham, Damaja, Brother Runt and Matt Bentley with reports saying that the signing of Pacman-Jones might of been a factor. Also Christy Hemme and Lance Hoyt were told they wouldn't need to attend Hard Justice (which wasn't a bad thing as the PPV blew) but I don't know if they have been let go or not.
Okay let's get Sylvan out of the way first- meh- now to talk about the TNA releases- what the hell are they playing at?! Firing the "pioner of the X-Division" along with Matt Bentley who has been involved in some classic Ultimate-X matches in the past so they can sign an american football player (I assume that's what sport he plays) is shamefull and a clear message that they don't care about the X-Div at all.

Yeah I've heard they are down to the fact they have pacman now. His contract is apparently nearly on par with what Kurt Angle earns which I can only presume doesn't go down to well with the guys backstage. But then it could also be down to the fact TNA are getting ready to bring in Brock Lesnar this fall - www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=26038&p=1

I heard the Lesnar story yesterday, but did not think anything of it as I have heard it before with no result. This Pacman thing seems a bit crap to me. For a start, barely anyone outside of the US has even heard of him - myself included - so they are alienating that section of their fanbase right there.
Whilst watching the Hard Justice PPV, I came to the conclusion that TNA are not rerally interested in pleasing their fans or making a dent in WWE's flagging popularity,. Instead they seem intent on keeping Kurt Angle happy at all costs, and boasting about how much mainstream media attention they have garnered ove the signing of "The Most Controversial Figure In Sports".
Can having one man holding every available title and more really be beneficial to TNA? Or is it only beneficial to Vince Russo's bank balance?
On the WWE side of things, it appears they are happy to slither along at a snail's pace, vomiting forth incredulous storyline after incredulous storyline, safe in the knowledge that TNA pose no threat whatsoever. It's embarrassing to think that a decade ago, pro wrestling was on everyone's lips, and was the hottest show on TV. Now it's just seen as a fucking joke.

I agree, Pro Wrestling in the state it is in, is nothing more than a joke. To further the claim, TNA have shot an angle this week where Kurt Angle goes into a bar in connecticut and starts a fight with a parody of Vince McMahon and Batista. What is it with TNA that they see why they need to keep trying to pick a fight with WWE. They obviously pay no attention to TNA and Russo and his pack of monkeys don't seem to notice it.
TNA are far far away from even being at WWE's level. They did turn a profit two months ago, but since then have fallen back in the red. But you're right Metal, TNA seems more about keeping Angle happy than it does about a decent wrestling show. Otherwise they would of seen common sense and finally put Joe into that World Title slot on Sunday like they should of done a long time ago. Then again WWE aren't much better, for too long now they have dropped the ball with stars to keep Batista and Cena on top. We all know by know that Orton should of held the title since he last reign and Michaels should of won at WM22. Where as on Smackdown they should of made Ken Kennedy champion a long time ago when the crowd went nuts just at the sound of his music.
Either way, both promotions are in a bad state at the moment but all the while WWE still make good house show gates and PPV buys are steady they won't care. Where as TNA need to do something fast, otherwise they are going to fold and we are going to end up like it was in 2002. All I say is ROH really has a great oppourtunity to step up now and it looks as if they are going to.

I disagree that Orton should have held the belt for a second time already. He shouldn't have held it in the first place until he learns to grow up. He was the hottest heel in the company before he won the world title, and he only won that so he could earse Lesnar's record of being the youngest world champ. They should have kept Orton a heel and IC champ for the first few months. Instead they turned him face too quickly and feuded him with HHH and it was all going well until the disatarous Royal Rumble match with the Game. I think the WWE screwed up his face turn which should have been his big break into the main event but since then he has screwed himself with his bad attitude and immature behavoir.
I also don't think that KK is ready for the world title. Instead of pushing wrestlers who are too green they should have made RVD and Christian main eventers back when they were red hot.
