Okay news just coming in is that Umaga is either fighting for his life after a serious illness or has indeed died.
His wikipedia page says he died today, but I can't seem to find any other sources right now.
Either way this is terrible.

Okay now he wiki page has been edited to say that he hasn't passed away, but it looks like he is still in a critical state. It is said that his wife found him at home, unresponsive with blood coimng out of his nose.

Okay no more news on this, but Bobby Lashley posted on his twitter that a good friend had passed away, while Ken Kennedy and Elijah Pope Burke followed suit. Looks like it may have been a game of Chinese whispers with nobody knowing what has actually happened.

Okay the situation has been cleared up. Sadly. Umaga has passed away.
A terrible, terrible shame for such a talent. I said in my Top 5 Match threads I was doing that Umaga was in my choice for MOTY in both 2007 and 2008 and I guess those matches against Cena and Jeff Hardy will be his legacy.
It's only about six months ago that we saw him wrestle Punk at Extreme Rules and it's only last week tha he wrestled his brother Rikishi during Hogan and Flair's tour of Australia. Tragic. Very upsetting.

It's sad, indeed. Sad for his family and sad for the wrestling industry, which gets another blemish on its record of wrestlers dying well before their time. In retrospect, I'm happy to see that Umaga was fired after his second drug offense, but sad to see that the reason was that he wouldn't go into rehab.
R.I.P.

Yeah. However the WWE released him in May. If it was that serious they should have spotted the signs earlier I guess, and people like Hogan should not have signed him up to their tour.
A rather creepy fact is that Eddie Fatu's last match was against a certain Ken Kennedy, just like Eddie Guerrero.

I'm guessing Ken Kennedy is turning out to be a bit if a killer.
Shame about Umaga though, I did like him. He was different to say the least. Drugs are drugs and after so many deaths you would of thought people in the wrestling industry would do more about it. It's weird though, Hogan said he was close to signing for TNA then Umagas wife said he had already passed WWE's screening and was due to re-debut at the royal rumble and then went on to say Hogan hardly knew Umaga.
