"According to Dave Meltzer, Brock Lesnar's health status is way more serious than had been previously reported. Lesnar went to Canada last week for rest, as he is recovering from Mono, and while there collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. There is a major health issue that he is not letting out, but to kill rumors that may pop up, he does NOT have cancer HIV/AIDS. It is said that Lesnar will not fight for a very long time, if ever again. Dana White will head to Minnesota to meet with Lesnar, and will also try to get him into the Mayo Clinic, or some other top notch medical facility. - Dana White spoke on Brock Lesnar's health last night following UFC 105. Okay I posted a link to Dana's comments, but I'll just post them here; -------------------------------
- Dana White spoke about Brock Lesnar's health status at the UFC 105 post event press conference; here are some highlights…
On Brock's Current Health: "He is not good," White said. "He is very, very sick, and he's going to be out for a while. He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well. He's not going to be getting well anytime soon. I am worried about it," White said. "I can't really talk about it right now, but [Lesnar] is in rough shape. He's in really bad shape. I'm actually probably going to fly to go see him, and we're going to probably have to do some stuff to take care of this guy. He is not well, and he's not getting any better."
On What Dana Plans To Do To Help: "I don't know. I've got to get him to one of these really good hospitals with really good doctors to figure out what's wrong and how we get him better. [Lesnar] is in bad shape, and the reality is they don't really know all that's wrong with him."
On His Collapse In Canada: "He owns a bunch of property in Canada. He went up to Canada just to get away from his house, to go up there and just kind of chill out up there. "He [expletive] dropped. He went down, and he had to go to the hospital. They ran every test on the planet on him, and they ended up finding out something else was wrong with him."
On The Status Of The Title: "If it's a long wait, we're gong to have to do something," White said. "We're going to have to – the last thing I ever want to do is strip a guy who won a title. That's the last thing I want to do. I don't know if we'll have to do an interim or what we'll do to fix it." -----------------------
Sounds very serious according to what Dana White said, hope he gets better soon.

Shouldn't this be in the Brock Lesnar forum? Anyway, looks like Brock had the surgery and is feeling better. From Dana White's twitter: twitter.com/DanaWhitelatimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2009/11/brock-lesnar-recovering-from-intestinal-surgery.htmlAnd it looks like we'll be getting an interim championship. My guess is Shane Carwin, who was to face Lesnar next, vs. Cain Velasquez, who just lost his opponent Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (for the number one contendership) due to a staph infection. They were originally intended to fight for the number one contendership anyway, but UFC scrapped that idea and just gave Carwin a title shot. They probably want more starpower, but Couture looks to have moved to Light Heavyweight for the time being and Nog is obviously out, so unless they bring Frank Mir into the picture, this is their best bet. It just makes sense and apparently, it's destiny.

Good to hear he's better. So they'll be a new champion? That mean both belts will have to be defended in a ladder match right?
Oh yeah and :moved:

Good move, Woo. You should also change the name of this forum to simply BROCK.
