I just watched David Haye take the WBA title from the giant Valuev. I never gave him a chance to be honest, as I thought Valuev's size would be just tom much to overcome. But it seems Haye fought the right fight the best way he could to secure the victory. I was pretty sure after the bell that he had not done enough to sway the judges, but the final round he rocked Valuev almost to toppling, which I an sure was the deciding factor in the fight. Valuev would be quite justified to challenge the decision as I reckon it was a very close contest, but upon reflection, he did not worry Haye at all throughout the 12 rounds. Haye on the other hand worried Valuev on a couple of occasions in the middle rounds and won the final round decisively. So a slightly controversial decision which will no doubt spawn a rematch at the Dome, but I'm extremely happy that the very likeable David Haye has managed to silence at least some of his naysaying critics.

Ah so this was the fighted 'David vs Goliath' then? I wanted to watch this, but didn't want to pay for it and regardless I was out anyway. Glad to see that Haye won however, even if it was close.
