I know this is old know, but I also know that some people's only wrestling infomation is through this site so yeah- Shane McMahon has quit the WWE. The reasons aren't clear yet though some speculate that it's him wanting to help Linda run for senate.
However that doesn't appear to be the case...
"Shane McMahon's departure is not a subject to be discussed backstage in WWE right now. Vince is not happy at all about Shane leaving, and essentially, Shane's leaving is taboo discussion, similar to talking about Randy Savage. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]"

Cool, that means he will put to with Hogan and "buy" TNA.
Thus spoiling wrestling again.

Well it's well known that Randy Savage's name is pretty much taboo in the WWE and they have banned him from all games and have even removed signs from crowd with his name on. The fact he got a DVD this year was huge news.
Anyway nobody really knows why Savage is such a sore point to Vince McMahon, but there is a long rumour that Randy Savage may have slept with a 14 year old Stephanie McMahon. Nobody has ever confirmed this, but strangely nobody has ever come out and said it's a flat out lie......... including Savage strangely...
As for Shane I'm a big fan. He had some great matches against Test, Steve Blackman, Big Show, Kane and others including one of my all time favourite matches against Kurt Angle.

Shane is a highspot machine, and was the highlight of many pay per views during the early noughties (Christ I hate that new word...)

It's an old word really! I remember first hearing it on Gimme Gimme Gimmie where they were talking about the decades saying "we had the eighties and the nineties, but what will next decade be? The noughties?" to which Kathy Burke replied "I have a naughty nightie" Great!
Yeah Shane was THE highspot machine. I hate the way "spot money" gets thrown about as an insult these days. Hell if the spots are great, who cares?

ECW built it's reputation on highspots, and TNA's X Division is built on a foundation of highspots, so as far as I'm concerned, highspots RULE! As did Shane.
