So tonight's Englad game against Ukraine will for possibly the first time in the modern era not be shown on TV anywhere, and instead will be broadcast only on the internet, and at Odeon cinemas across England.
How weak is that?
Worse still, you need to cough up a tenner just to sit hunched in front of a 19" monitor in your bedroom.
I'm glad we've already qualified and it's not a crunch match, but I guess that's why no TV stations showed any interest in showing it after Setanta died.
Having said that, I'd love to see how Odeon's staff handle a thousand pissed-up England fans all swearing and pissing in the aisles and vomiting over the guy in front and throwing ale everywhere when Ukraine wreck our "perfect ten" ambitions.
I guess every cloud has a silver lining after all.

Yeah this is bullshit. It's a shame that we can't watch such a crucial game.... a crucial game for Ukraine. I think Sky made the right choice as the Ireland vs Italy game is obviously of much more improtance as both teams still have hopes of topping the group and getting the automatic spot.
But yeah, total crap. Who wants to watch the game infront of a computer?
