So what did you all think of Summerslam?
This is what I can remember of it.
The Good
Rey vs Dolph.
MOTN for me. Boths guys worked their asses off and had great near falls. I think they were building up to another rematch where Dolph was gonna win the title. Stupid Rey.
Punk vs Jeff
So Punk rightfully wins the belt back and moves on to a feud with Taker. Sweet. I must admit I marked out when Jeff's fallen body was replaced by Taker- and I NEVER mark for Taker. What a great end to a PPV.
The Okay
Legacy vs DX
I hate HHH and dislike Shawn too when he teams up with him. I thought this would be a total Spirit Squad Squash Job, but too their credit DX made The Legacy look better than they have done all year long. Pretty good match.
MVP vs Swagger
I thought their match was average, but I am putting this here for the prematch promos by both men, especially MVP, which were fantastic.
Orton vs Cena
Hey guys HBK/Vader Summerslam 1996 falled and wants it's finishes back. Good match but the multiple finishes were weak, especially as Lillian botched the end to the first one. The guy jumping over the barrier was fun. We guessed it would be the other Dibiase kid and were proved right- yay!
The Bad
Kane vs Khali
WHY? WHY ARE THEY INFLICTING THIS ON US AGAIN? WHAT DID WE DO TO DESEVRE IT? Why aren't Morrison or Kofi on the card while these two are?
Christian vs Regal
It takes longer to write about the match than to watch it. I was looking forwards to it too lol. Poor Regal. Why even throw it on the PPV if it will end in 3 seconds?
