Yes, the battle of the behemoths has taken place last weekend, and you can see it here.
Spoilers below v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v v So straight away Lashley takes down Sapp and smothers him with ground and pound. Really, Bob Sapp looks great but he is utterly useless at MMA. He should stick to pro wrestling in Japan where he is a legend. He'd even be superb in WWE, but if I'd suggest he hangs his gloves up as a legitimate fighter, as I've rarely seen him win a bout since he made his MMA debut a few years ago.
Lashley on the other hand, coped with his first big spotlight bout with extreme professionalism. He saw the way to beat Sapp, and immediately took the initiative. I've seen Lashley in a couple of other bouts, including his last one last month where he beat his opponent by front chancery submission in less than twenty seconds.
I see a great future in MMA for Bobby Lashley. He's made the transition well from pro wrestling, and obviously has a huge talent for legitimately kicking other guys' asses. And he's still only young.
He maybe even be seen in UFC one day, if Dana can see past the fake wrestling aspect. He gave Brock the chance, and Brock is now the company's biggest draw, not to mention their biggest champion. And provided he is not exposed again by Frank Mir tomorrow at UFC 100, could remain champ for the forseeable future.
Brock vs Lashley? I'd buy that for a dollar.

Brock Lesnar vs. Black Lesnar? Sounds pretty cool.
I've never really been enamored with Bob Sapp. He's basically the original Kimbo Slice, only not quite as embarrassing.

I nearly made a thread about this way back when it was meant to be Lashley vs. Shamrock until Ken got suspended for failing that drugs test. What a tit.
I heard Dana White has been pretending not to know who Bobby is thus far.

Provided [Brock] is not exposed again by Frank Mir tomorrow at UFC 100, [he] could remain champ for the forseeable future. My mistake - UFC 100 is next Saturday the 11th, and not tonight as I said. Just got my dates mixed up. Dana can pretend as much as he wants, but when he smells money I'm pretty sure he'll start sniffing round Lashley eventually.

Lashley is probably not near as big of draw as Lesnar, but he would pique people's interests, for sure. After all, he said the same things about Kimbo Slice but now he's on the next TUF (of course, Dana just did it to prove that he didn't think Slice isn't a UFC-calibre fighter, but still). And Lashley has a much more legitimate background than Slice (no, I'm not calling professional wrestling legitimate, I mean his "amateur" wrestling history).
