So next week is the 7th (apprently...) Slamiversary and I think it's shaping up quite nicely. The card thus far is;
TNA Championship King of the Mountain Match: Mick Foley (c) vs Jeff Jarrett vs AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle
X-Division Championship King of the Mountain Match: Suicide vs Chris Sabin vs Alex Shelly vs Jay Lethal vs Creed
TNA Tag Team Championship Match: Team 3D vs Beer.....MONEY
Angelina Love vs Tara
Christopher Daniels vs Shane Douglas
I think that's all the offcial matches and they should be all good....the Douglas match perhaps excluded, but I didn't mind his match with AJ this week at all.....but then again it was against AJ.
Also expected are Sting vs Morgan, which will hopefully be better than it sounds and Raven & Daffney vs Abyss & Wilde, which I'm pumped for. Raven's feud with Abyss was AWESOME back in the day and Daffney is amazing.
Not sure where that leaves Booker, Stiener or Nash, but they will probably be out selling their injuries...... well in Scott's case those injuries may be real after Joe KILLED him this week. Oh, my, god that looked crazy.
Anyone going to be watching this?

Nobody watch this then?
If not you missed out as this was FANTASTIC!
The opener was the X-Division King of the Mountain match and this was a brilliant spot fest. The Detroit crowd were obviously behind the Guns so the fans were hot for this match and the 5 guys did not disappoint. Some great spots included Lethal dropping the elbow drop onto Sabin who was laying on a ladder, Sabin jumping off the box to the outside and Jay almost breaking his neck.
A great moment was when Sabin layed down for Shelly and then complained to the ref that Alex had his tights! Awesome. Some people call matches "spot-fests" as an insult, but this was the perfect spot fest match. So fun.
Then we had Douglas vs. Daniels which was better than it had any right to be really. Possibly the worst match on the card however.
The Knockout's match wasn't great either however and Love got the win with the hair spray again. Just like last month. Love is a great character, but not a terrific wrestler.
Then we had the mixed tag Monsters Ball which was awesome!!! Raven and Abyss did their usually great stuff, Stevie Richards was so much fun stopping all the three counts but the stars of the show were undoubtedly Wilde and Daffney. Wilde's dive of the stage onto Daffney through the table was very good and then Daffney being thrown onto the tacks! Jesus!
Beer Money vs. Team 3D was Beer Money vs. Team 3D and therefore obviously very good. Add in the British Invasion on commentating, Rob Terry hilariously distracting Earl by showing off his muscles and Don West's British accent and this was very watchable.
Sting vs Morgan was alright I guess. I think Sting botched the ending though.
The main event gave the Monster's Ball and the first KOTM match a run for it's money as MOTN. Foley got his big spot (and I loved him thinking that Jeff was going to help him) and AJ Styles got to look like the star until Joe turned heel and joined the Mafia by helping Kurt win. Shocking!! Superb heel turn.
Overall this is easily PPV of the year thus far. Go out your way to try and watch it.

Yeah I watched it Monday. definitely an overall 8.5/10. I reckon this was TNA's best show in years, and miles better than the majority of WWE output recently.
That opening KOTM match was incredible, and as you say had more high spots than the average 3 hour supershow. The Guns were the best two in the match, especially for comedy value.
Shane Douglas, although legendary on the mike, looked like a right bum. He is so out of shape. Apparently he hurt his ankle really bad early on in that match, but I've watched it over again and can't see where it happened. He hid the injury well.
Couldn't believe the thumbtacks bump Daffney took. And Stevie as well, with the spots of blood seeping through his shirt. The bit I liked most was before the match, when Raven cut the best promo I ever heard from him. He said this to Lauren: "I like you. I really do. You wear your moral superiority like a cloak of human excrement. No matter how much you try to smile, or show a joyous side, you reek of sadness. And that turns me on" How very menacing... I love Raven in 2009. He's better than ever.
Don West's commentary is getting better with every show. I almost popped a lung when he said something along the lines of: "The thing you gotta remember, Mike Tenay, is exactly what I said earlier, whatever that was..." Classic.
And Joe's heel turn? Fucking curve-ball of the year so far. If I'd had a year to plan out the storyline for this match, it still would never have crossed my mind. Totally stunned. You gotta love Kurt's smarmy grin at the end though. Foley and Jeff were well and truly blindsided, just as we were.
So, a superb show of athleticism, action, expert storytelling and enthusiasm, with some great comedy at just the right moments, made this the most enjoyable show of 2009 so far. Can Bound For Glory better it? I doubt it. Can The Bash? PFFT... shyeahh, right...

Well the Bash don't look too bad I don't think and if Miz beats Cena I'm going to mark out like mad.
Oh yeah that Raven promo, oh my god. I was watching with a mate and we were laughing and joking through the whole show and then he started doing that and we just sat there in silence listening to every word he said. The second time I watched it I really liked Daffney playing with Lauren's hair too. They are three creepy people.
Oh yeah I really love Don West, the man is one of the best heel announcers there have ever been. "I think the reason I get on so well with Raven is because he reminds me of my crazy uncle!" I loved his one from a few weeks ago too:
West: Taylor Wilde is the type of girl you can take home to your mother's...... and then you leave her there and go out to meet a girl like Daffney.
Tenay: Where's that leave Kong?
West: Hopefully at yours...
Also Williams was great commentating too when Magnus and Terry had been decked by Team 3D "You want to do something right, you've got to do it yourself." *Doug jumps onto the apron and then goes through the table."
And last but not least Mick Foley is a comedy genius.
Foley: I have decided that I WILL defend the title at Bound For Glory.
Borash: But that's four months away!
Foley: Who can't count now? I will defend it in 16 months at Bound For Glory 2010!
And then he gets himself pinned on purpose to get placed in the penalty box and while he's there you can hear him yell "BEST SELLER BABY!" Such a shame he's lost the belt as he was a fantastic champion.

Yeah Don West said on this week's Impact that Daffney reminded him of his first ex wife. I think Don West is brilliant since the heel turn.

I watched Slam and I enjoyed the two King of the Mountain matches very much. The opening one was the match of the night in my opinion. Although Joe's shocking turn at the end of the show was not expected for me. Interesting note: TNA ruined Taz's debut by posting his entrance and hype promo vid on their facebook page. Not very clever.
However, the rest of the PPV just wasn't for me. I didn't get the point of Douglas vs Daniels when TNA could of easily put one of their current stars in the place of Douglas. There are plenty of people on their roster who deserve it.

But there were marketing it as the new guys vs the old guys.
You didn't like the monsters ball?
I just watched the Bash and Y2J and Rey somehow topped thier Extreme Rules match and gave us another MOTYC. The rest of the card was utter, utter shit.

Okay perhaps I was a bit harsh there. Here we go then.
Up first we have Christian vs Swagger in the scramble match. These two have great chemistry.....not tonight! Then Finlay, boring. Then Dreamer, boring. Then Mark fucking Henry comes in and carries this entire fucking match on his shoulders! Dreamer retains in a cluster fuck.
Then Rey vs. Y2J was perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Dolph vs Khali was alright, then Kane attacked Khali which annoyed my mate and I- It's the feud nobody wanted! The right man won however, Dolph.
The women's match was amazingly one of the best thus far, but Michelle McBloody McCool won..... ugh.
The tag team titles was beyond boring. Thank god Teddy Long made this a triple threat with the team of Y2J & Edge, your new tag champions. I think they won the belts so they can now appear on Raw and save that shitty brand.
CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy was very good and the end was what SHOULD have happened. Jeff got the pin but Punk's foot was under (not on) the rope and the ref reversed his decision. Then CM Punk was "blinded" and "accidentally" kicked the ref. PERFECT ending. Jeff looks strong and Punk looks like he robbed Jeff, but he can logically explain it as an accident. Punk was acting that he couldn't see while celebrating but occasionally smiling too.
This is the best heel turn ever. Seriously.
Miz vs. Cena was a fucking disgrace. FUCK YOU CENA! I am going to take a "Benoit > Cena" sign to Raw this autumn.
HHH vs Orton was boring as usual. I marked out when Cody stopped HHH winning. Orton wins, HHH makes him look like shit by attacking him afterwards. *Sigh*

Miz vs. Cena was a fucking disgrace. FUCK YOU CENA! I am going to take a "Benoit > Cena" sign to Raw this autumn. lmao. I think your love for the Miz has reached the point of insanity. I'm just kidding. Insanity is fully reached the moment someone thinks to themselves, "Hey, this Miz fellow is pretty entertaining."

You people on the anti-Miz bandwagon are strange, strange people. The only place on the internet that hates him is the forum I'm an admin on.
But yeah the guy's great on the mic, great in the ring, funny and with tons of charisma. Pretty much the complete package. The fact he's feuding with Cena and that all his insults towards John have been 100% true makes it even better.
I think you are all either in denial, haven't seen him wrestle or hate him simply because of his background.
I'm sorry but when someone says "You aren't just a reality has-been, you are a WWE never-was" that guy HAS to win. This is just like when HHH said "People like you Booker, can't beat people like me" and then won the match!
Disgrace.

I love how you say we're on the anti-Miz bandwagon, and then claim everyone else apart from us loves him. We should really be referred to as The Cutting Edge Miz Hate Club. He is a real tosser, but admittedly everything he said about Cena is true. I actually agreed with The, whilst hating on him at the same time.
