WWE.com has posted the following statement this morning:
Jeff Hardy found unconscious
BOSTON – Jeff Hardy was found unconscious in a stairwell at his hotel in Boston today, and was rushed to the nearest emergency room.
Due to privacy issues, WWE is not releasing the name of the hospital.
WWE.com will have more information if it becomes available.

Oh for the love of God... what is wrong with this guy, he doesnt seem able to cope with the pressure of being a shoe-in for the title and seems to self destruct.

There are rumours going round that the person who attacked Jeff Hardy will be....
Christian! Yes his TNA contract is expired and his profile removed from TNA's website. This could be great news. The fact Jeff is world champion hopefully means he'll get a upper-midcard slot at worst.
