Gail Kim leaves for Stamford

Yep, Gail Kim is leaving TNA and the reason being is that her contract is expiring soon and the WWE are offering her more money.

A big shame for TNA as they have some great female workers... and ODB. This could be big for the wwe though, if they use her right. I don't ever recall a time when there have been so many good female wrestlers in the WWE as there are now. Mickie James, Phoenix, Melina, Candace, Nikita, Niedhart, Gillian and now Gail. Awesome.

Yes, the word "good" does not need to be present here, and the quote should have read "I don't ever recall a time when there have been so many female wrestlers in the WWE as there are now."

It's not that they are not good as such - they are probably head and tits above the clueless stiffs in TNA (excluding Kong, who is indeed awesome) - it's just that there are so fucking MANY of them!

I occasionally casually tune in to WWE, and it's invariably during yet another women's bout, featuring yet another bird I've never seen before.
I guess the returning Gail would inject a bit of star power into the women's division, but do they really need another female on the roster, especially when they are releasing superstars seemingly on a weekly basis?

I actually do think the females I listed are good.

Mickie James is more than a capable performer. Her matches with Trish Stratus, especially the one at NYR was realy good, in fact the whole feud was amazingly well handled. Yes it resulted in lesbian kissing, but on the plus side- it resulted in lesbian kissing. I dunno how (or why!!!) they ended up turning her straight, but my point is that she is a good wrestler.

Beth Phoenix can wrestle too. She's look the new Chyna, only not pumped full of hormone pills and entertaining. The angle with Santino is hilarious.

Melina is also capapble of good matches, I dunno if she is injured or even still in the WWE for that matter... as for Candace, yeah she only came in as a bit of eye candy. But unlike the likes of Torrie Wilson, who was too lazy to even try to learn how to wrestle Candace did and improved a lot. I think she's still injured, hopefully she comes back soon.

Nikita/Katie Lea is talented and can probably outwrestle anybody else on the roster and Niedhart is meant to be good too. As for Gillian, I like her awful singing.

The women's division is the best it's been since Torrie, Molly, Lita, Ivory and indeen Kim left. Sure they could get rid of Layla, Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool, but still.

Fucking hell was it really such a long time ago that Kim left TNA? August?! Crazy. Anyway she's gonna be returning to SD!

I stand by my statement that the WWE have lots of good female workers- Kim, Mickie, Beth, Katie Lea and Natalaya are all very great, Melina and Hall are good and Maryse is getting there too. Then there is McCool who like Maryse has improved a lot and Candice Michelle who sadly hasn't been the same since her injury and is now being told by the WWE that she is fat.... wtf? Also did you see Eve Torres' debut?! She looked surprisingly good! I dunno who was training her but they did a terrific job.

Anyway Kim's back yay!!! She HAS to be a face right? I know she worked as a heel in both the WWE and TNA but her feud with Kong has cemented her as a face now in my book. It's a shame they had Melina beat Phoenix for the Women's title last month (and rather strange too) as Kim could have returned there and ended the reign of Phoenix at Mania.... in fact Melina could have won the big match at Mania too against Phoenix.... what a bizarre decision to give Melina the belt.

I guess on SD Maryse needs taking down a peg or too and now that McCool is a face and in a feud with Maria Maryse has nothing to do- enter stage left Gail Kim!
