Which modern day film noir from a now critically acclaimed director does this tagline come from:
"Some memories are best forgotten."

That's Memento. What a class film that was. I only watched it again recently, and it still has the power to surprise even after multiple viewings. I have yet to watch the film using the linear special feature on the DVD. I reckon it would spoil it.
OK what film is this? "Violence as a way of life"

I'm going to take a wild guess and say City Of God?

Wrong. Pretty logical guess though.

A History of Violence?

No, that's not the right answer. I'll give a clue. The film came out about ten years ago and starred a relatively unknown actor in the lead role, who then went on to star in the defining film of the decade.

American History X?
Don't know if that's right. But imo the defining film of the 90's has to be Fight Club.

You got it Woo. American History X actually had a number of different tag lines, but the one I used is on the front of my DVD.

Here's another tagline of a classic film.
"Girls like me don't make invitations like this to just anyone!"
Not a very good tagline, but a very good movie.
