*Spoilers for those who aren't up to date*
Well I thought it would be a cool idea to have threads for serials like Heroes, PB, Lost etc that are running at the moment and we could then discuss what we liked, hated from it so far.
Okay, so here's the story so far in Heroes Season 2; The Bennett family have moved out of Texas and they are trying to act normal, well as normal as a family can be with a daughter who tries to kill herself every time she gets bored and a father who enjoys collecting predictive paintings by deceased heroin addicts.
Mr. Bennett (I don't like the name Noah so I'll call him Mr. Bennett or HRG) is now working in a paper shop (oh the irony!) However this is just a front as he is secretly working with Mohinder (more on him later) and The Haitian to take down the company, though things have taken a turn for the worse when he saw a picture Isaac painted of him- dead!
Claire meanwhile was told very sternly by dad not to draw attention to herself. I understood him loud and clear, but it seems Claire wasn't listening as she then goes about jumping off high things, getting her Nissan Rouge (product placement at it's most obvious) stolen and then cuts off her toes in front of West, her love interest this year. But it turns out he can fly! By the way, I hate him already.
Peter meanwhile is in Ireland and has forgotten who he is and rather than open the damn box containing his real identity instead has turned all Peter Parker emo-ish on us and is doing jobs for Irish gangsters.
The other Petriells aren't doing much better as Nathan now sports an horrendous beard and sees random burnt reflections of himself and Angela is being stalked by some hodded serial killer.
The serial killer has already jilled Hiro's father Sulu in the first episode and Ando is recovering by the shock of seeing it happen by going back to his office job. Hiro is back in ancient Japan meeting his hero Kensi and falling in love with his women.
Mohinder, Matt and Molly are living together, though Mohinder is acting like 007 and is always out hanging about with some fat Goldfinger wannabe and now works in Isaac's loft. Apparently someone thought the place where two people were killed would make a lovely workplace. Matt is not really doing anything while Molly is haunted by Partman's cooking and some unspeakable monster.
Two Mexican twins are trying to live the American dream but get separated causing one of them to kill everybody around them until they are reunited. (Repeat again and again).
Sylar kills Candice from last year, but can't use any of his powers! He then runs outside and sees he is on a tropical island before meeting polar bears, smoke monsters and getting accidentally shot by Michelle Rodriguez.
Oh yeah- DL is dead, not sure why yet. Nikki having hard a rough time of it recently what with DL's death and Micah getting kidnapped twice from her last year leaves her son with some random black women and goes to work for the company....the same company who kidnapped him the second time....
to be continued... --------
So far it's been pretty average. The new characters like West, and the terrible twins are irritating. Sylar's storyline last week was downright strange and why oh why did Peter not open that box! It's not all bad though, HRG continues to be excellent, the serial killer targeting Angela is intriguing as is Molly's tormentor, but as usual Hiro's storyline is the best.
Hiro is great, but it's Alias' Mr. Sark as his childhood hero that really shines and every seen with then two together has been a joy to watch so far. I hope next week the arc for the season begins to take shape though.

I bought season 1 dvd and watched it leading up to the start of season 2, I saw the first episode of season 2 and was not able to get into it; I thought it was rather boring tbh....
Everyone’s storylines have gone down hill from season 1 especially Hiro's. I thought his journey into Past China would be a good plot but has turned out rather poor. So I stopped watching Heroes.
But, seeing as how NBC has been saying in commercials during football commercials that it's just getting good, I'm about to go watch the two episodes I missed online....
..............................
As far as Prison Break goes, AMAZING! is an understatement. I thought 2 season would be fine and that a third would be stupid, bit surprise surprise, 4 episodes in and it's been simply amazing. I love the whole sonna setting and think the jail is amazing looking, I love all the characters except the annoying kid in the T-mac jersey bothering Michael about sports in America while he has more important things to do, like escape out of prison to save his girlfriend and his brothers kid.
This show has really heated up and it seems like deaths are coming out of nowhere and fast, not 24 fast but pretty fast. Anyway, ratings are very poor for season 3 so I'm guessing this will be the final season to what I believe was a successful series.
Yeah those two shows and the office are the only shows I am watching right now. Tv is crap these days with ridiculous reality tv shows and horrible sitcoms about the Gicko cavemen and two nerds moving in with a beautiful blonde idiot. Man, who writes this crap?
Cannot wait till 24 and Lost return but they won't be here for awhile so I have to watch what’s on now.

Ok, well after just watching episode 2 and 3 of Heroes season 2 I've decided that even though it isn't as great as season 1 it isn't as bad as I made it seem like it was in my post above this....
The Hiro thing isn't as annoying as it was in episode 1 but still have yet to see why any of this is relevant to the show and it‘s main arc?
Glad sylar is back, I don't think what we've seen from episode 3 was that strange, that girl is so stupid, I called her getting killed the moment I saw her with Sylar. Man he's such a great villain.......
Apparently, West isn't as annoying and stupid as I thought he was. It seems as soon as he picked up Clare and started flying around he's stopped being that annoying kid that keeps bothering her with stupid questions. I'm pretty sure the shadowy figure Clare kisses in the painting of dead Mr. Bennett is indeed West which looks like it will set up an amazing storyline coming up....
I don't know what to think of the whole Peter thing so far, it's just been so random I'd rather not think about what’s going on there.
So yeah, I'm back on track and hopefully this show will pick up...

I have been using this site; www.tv-links.co.uk/listings/1 to watch new Heroes and PB. I also rewatched Lost seasons 1 and 2 and it is much better than I thought and much more questions have been answered this far than I thought. Some of the links are dead, some have random subtitles in Japanase/Chinease but you can usually find one that works. Anyone know any other sites like this?

I like season 2 a lot so far. The Hiro/Takezo Kensei storyline has been a lot of fun to watch and the Peter amnesia storyline is cliche but interesting. The best thing that could happen to the wonder twins was bringing Sylar into the mix, because their storyline was already getting tired after the first few episodes. And OMG... *SPOILERS for those of you who aren't watching season 2* Parkman's dad is "the Nightmare Man"!

Yeah I thought that Partman's dad being Molly's tormentor was brilliant. He was really creeping me out and now after seeing the picture of him smiling he is becoming very menacing.
I also thought The Wonder Twins meeting Sylar was cool. I was screaming at my TV "don't show Sylar, Chandra Suresh's book!" but she did it anyway. I don't think Sylar will kill them though until he fully understands their power, well if he was smart he would.
Claire is annoying me now. Her father is trying to protect her and instead she is lying to him and flying off with West, he also really winds me up.
I liked the new girl, though he power seems a bit too powerful. Could she watch something like The Matrix on TV and then go all Neo? It was very cool seeing her 619 that guy through a window though.
Not sure why Angela Petrelli is lying to the police and saying she killed Charles. Why is she doing this?
I didn't mind not seeing Peter or Hiro this week, I think they both needed a weeks rest, but no Nikki either- I didn't like her at all last season but I want to know what she is doing with that Bob guy.

Oh yeah, I had forgot about the 619 thing. I was laughing so hard when she did that. Good question about the Matrix thing. I don't think she can use an absurd amount of special effects just by watching something on TV though. The most she could get out of watching the Matrix is the ability to act really badly.
Claire's storyline is kind of boring now. Last year she was in the center of everything but now she's just hanging out with a tall, lanky kid.
I was thinking Angela confessed to try to escape the killer, because she got her picture with the strange red mark on it. But maybe that's too simple.

Yeah that is what I was thinking too Steala about Angela....
After watching last nights episode, it seems like Partman's dad is Molly's tormentor. He seems like an unstoppable villain. How can you stop him? You go to shoot him or something and he'll just place you in a nightmare and run off.
I can't say that I'm too upset at not seeing Clare because her storyline so far is very bad.
Also, I'm starting to like Peter's storyline now that Kristen Bell's character Elle has entered. Not quite sure her purpose yet but it explains how Peter can shoot blue stuff out of his hands which was something I didn't understand when I first saw him do that.

lmao!
I thought this weeks episode was possibly the best of the series so far. Funnily enough it's also the first ever episode not to feature Claire at all.
Well the big news was that we got a new hero, well villain, with special powers- Elle played by Kirsten Bell (who apparently turned down Lost before accepting this role). I like her already she has a really cool power stolen from another comic book character Dr. Doom and she is pretty funny too, in a very dark way. "No...no, I just persuaded him a bit......okay yes, I killed him, but it was just one guy." Sad to see that Irish guy get killed off as I was just starting to like him. Elle then said "okay, I'll come home- Daddy." I wonder who 'daddy' is. I reckon it's someone we already know of.
I also like Monica and her storyline, leaning Bruce Lee is cool. While she isn't quite Neo she does "know Kung-Fu"... But I can't work out who creeps me out more- Partman's Dad or Micah. Last week there was the hug between Micah and Monica which was really long and weird and this week we saw him getting a bit too excited watching her skipping. Is there more to this story or does the editor simply not know when to cut a scene?
The nightmares Partman's Dad inflicted on Matt and Nathan were really disturbing and it explained two things that were bothering me. If Janice Partman's baby wasn't Matt's why was he writing letters to the baby in Five Years Gone? Also what is up with Nathan's freaky mirror reflections? Partman may well be the father after all while the mirror thing....I have no idea...maybe he has nightmares about the fact he almost let NY explode?
I like the way we are getting more villains this year. Last season it was just Sylar pretty much. Sure there was Linderman, Candice at the end and Angela though we still don't know what her power is, I'm sure she has one though. This season will already have Sylar, Elle, Partman's dad and probably Bob.
I like the way Peter is starting to paint the future again. It's such a brilliant way to draw suspense into later episodes and was perfected with the Homecoming paintings last year.
Elsewhere Mohinder visits Monica right at the end of the episode- hopefully Micah recognizes him before Monica kung-fu's him. Nikki broke down a few doors, Ando took Hiro's manuscripts to an expert who's reply to Ando's "what happens next?" question with "how should I know?" made me laugh and Hiro was in two blink-and-you-miss-them scenes.
By the way how cool/strange is it that we have had Captain Zulu and Lieutenant Uhura from Star Trek in Heroes and nobody seems to notice they look like them? I want to see Spock make a cameo appearance.
Edit:!!!! Oh I forgot two things 1. Partman managed to put his thoughts into Nathan's head! If Indeed his father had the same power as him then Matt might be one of the most powerful heroes. 2. So is Partman's dad the killer of Kaito? Or is he going to be a victim too? The picture at the end of Bob suggests he is the killer but you never know.

You know, I was wondering when they first introduced West, 'What kind of name is West? That isn't right. He doesn't look like a West.'
No one really does, but that's not why I'm posting about it. I was watching The Office (American version) today and realized that he was Jan's 'executive assistant'. So yeah, kind of an interesting tidbit, but not really.

I think it's lame that he has the same power as someone else, I mean flying! omg we didn't see that in season 1...
I think his true power is the ability to put some of the worst game I’ve ever seen on someone and have it work.

What do you mean? He's got mad game, Flyers. "So what are you? A robot or an alien?" kills with the ladies in my tri-county area.
Plus, flying is the most common superpower. Are you familiar with the X-Men? Although it is quite possible that Claire and West are related because Nathan can fly too.
I think that's how superpowers come about though. Incest.

What do you mean? He's got mad game, Flyers. "So what are you? A robot or an alien?" kills with the ladies in my tri-county area. lmao!!! Yeah his chat-up line was pretty bizare. Almost as good as T-Bag's "stop talking. You'll know when I'll want you to open your mouth." I also didn't like they way he had Nathan's power. I thought X-Ray Vision would have been cool. It would have had sence why he was spying on Claire then. But didn't Charles Devoux and tha strange Indian football kid both have the same dream power too? Granted the Indian kid Mohinder met was fucking usless and had the single worst conversation in Hero's history. (I am writing this from memory so it might not be 100% accruate) Mohinder: "You came to me in a dream." Twat(c)(c) Kid: "I don't come to anybody. They come to me." Mohinder: "No, it was my dream. You came to me. I usually have dreams about starting a family with a male cop, but recently I have had disturbing dreams about young Indian kids." Twat(c)(c) Kid: "You came to me!" Mohinder: "Shut up...it was MY dream. Therefore you came to me. I didn't appear in your dream now did I?!!" Twat(c)(c) Kid: (Knowing he's beat) "...maybe...anyway people come to me because they want an answer to a question..." Mohinder: "I'm not sure I have a question..." Twat(c)(c) Kid: "Yes you do..." Mohinder: "..............okay Einstien what's the answer?..." Twat(c)(c) Kid: "You already know the answer...........bye!" Mohinder: "......great. I came all the way to India for that..." Seriously I'd rather have a power where I had an alergy of water than his 'abilty'. So, yeah anyway there have been cases of two people with the same power before. ---------------------- Edit: Oh yeah....I forgot when I was admin I copyrighted the word Tw@t...can someone fix that?
