;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sheffield United just got relegated in superb style. Best thing about it is that West Ham stayed up AND the controversial Tevez scored against Man U for the win. Warnock is never gonna shut the hell up about this. It's beautiful! I predict he will walk next week.
I am a lifelong Sheffield Wednesday fan, so any opportunity to bash The Pigs is warmly welcomed by me.
To coin an old phrase, "That's six points for us next season".

Yeah Norwich finished 11th in Championship,
As for the league it was a shame that chelsea had so many players injured mid season as I reckon they would of destroyed Alex Fergagay and his ponce team Wayne Rooney = the most over rated player in History, talk about a non big match player, he only plays as well as the team and he isn't the sort of player who can win a game on his own in previous seasons
Just seen over the summer that Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich are selling all their best players and both teams missed out on Billy Sharp, seems well be seeing you in mid table

So just 5 games to go and Man U top the league 3 points over Chelsea, who in turn are 3 points clear of Arsenal.
Who do you think will win the league then out of the big 3? Also on the other side of the table who do you think will join Derby and get relegated?
As a Man U fan I think we will win the title for the 2nd year in a row, but only by a small margin over the London clubs. The match next weekend between us an Arsenal will go a long way to determining the winner.
As for the teams going down, things look bleak for Bolton and Fulham.

Damn no new posts about the new season at all! I'm surprised Knox isn't spamming "LIVERPOOL IS TEH GREATEST!" all over this forum. Looks like they could very well win it this year. Though Man U still have two games in hand and all the big teams still have to come to the 'Theatre of Dreams'.....
Also can Villa deny Arsenal a Champions League spot?! How great would that be! Though Arsenal fans may tolerate getting 5th if Spurs go down, which could happen! God, why do Spurs suck so much? lol.
Hull have been great this year which is pretty amusing too lol, but Man City's epic failure of a year is great!

This year is has been fantastic for a football fan. Liverpool could win the league for the first time in 18 years. Arsenal could lose their CL Spot to Villa and Chelsea are self-combusting.
It's the other end of the table that interests me, there is 6 points in the whole relegation battle and at this time anyone from 10th is at risk. Of course what would be better than Man City's season going tremendously wrong and they end up being relegated? It could be a big shake up for the league as in reality we could lose some of the biggest teams in the league if it all went wrong for Tottenham, Newcastle and Man City went down. It'd make for an interesting Summer Transfer window though and an even more interesting Championship season next year.

So after yesterdays games the table is now.
1. Liverpool 47 Pts 2. Man U 46 Pts 3. Chelsea 45 Pts 4. Aston Villa 44 Pts 5. Arsenal 41 Pts
So very tight between the top 4, though Man U and the thieving Liverpudlians have a game in hand.
You're right about how exciting things are at the bottom of the table. There's only 7th points between 8th and 20th!
Spurs are currently bottom as well! Haha. Jesus what happened to that club? I am hoping Man City go down. I want them to spend their £100,000,000 on Kaka only to get relegated. It'd be the funniest thing ever.

So big news this week!
Chelsea have sacked Big Phil! Crazy. Roman is such a dictator. In fact Chelsea are far too quick to sack managers. Guilit, Vialli, Raineri, Mourinio, Grant all did stellar jobs and were axed for no reason. Big Phil I think was let go far too soon also. Oh well.
Also knox, did you see that Everton/Liverpool epic FA Cup encounter? 119 minutes of boring football and then the ITV guy in charge cuts to adverts DURING THE FUCKING GAME rather than wait 2 more minutes and when they return back to the football Everton are celebrating a goal. As Michael Cole might say- "VINTAGE ITV!"

No I didn't see the game, heard about it though.
Chelsea were stupid to let big phil go at this time in the season. So what they've had a few bad results? Not everything can go according to plan. It just proves, you can't buy football. Turns out that the money wasn't the factor a few years ago, it was Jose.
Still it seems like the title race is now between Liverpool and Man Utd. How many years have we waited for this now?

Tbh I haven't really been waiting for it. Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea- it didn't matter to me who we beat But as a Liverpool fan you must be very excited. It's about time you decided that the Champions League semi finals is good enough every year. When was the last time you were a serious threat for the title? I can't recall a time since the inception of the Premiership. Who's going to take over Chelsea now? I heard talk about Zola and Di Matteo but I hope they don't do it, they might harm their legacies if they cock up.

Yeah as a Liverpool fan I am excited. It's good to see liverpool actually compete for the title. But you're right, Liverpool haven't really looked on form like this since the premiership started. Hopefully come may, it'll be me gloating instead of you once again Woo.
As far as I know, Hiddink has be hired until the end of the season. He's the Russian national coach who got sacked from Real Madrid after just seven months. (I think they were twelve with 15 games to go. Not cool.) So all in a good choice. Apparently Abramovich personally wanted him. Clearly the Russian Billionaire knows nothing about football as he let the most talented young manager in Football go over transfer differences.
